Co-founder of Yeshiva of Philadelphia. 

Co-founder of Yeshiva Shema Yisroel, which eventually was renamed to Yeshiva Ohr Somayach. At his levayah, Rav Mendel Weinbach, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Ohr Somayach, was maspid Rav Schwartzman as “the father of the teshuvah movement.”
